Bios:

After studying at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et Danse de Paris and at the University of Vienna, French mezzo-soprano Anna Reinhold began performing on stage under the direction of William Christie as part of his academy the “Garden of Voices”, which led her to perform the role of Cybèle in the mythical recreation of Atys by Lully in the production of Jean-Marie Villégier. Numerous engagements with Les Arts Florissants followed, both in Europe and in the United States. Ms. Reinhold regularly collaborates with leading conductors and ensembles, including Leonardo García Alarcón (Cappella Mediterranea), Raphaël Pichon (Pygmalion), Laurence Equilbey (Accentus and Insula Orchestra), Jonathan Cohen (Archangelo Ensemble, Orchester d'Auvergne, Budapest Festival Orchestra , Nederlands Philharmonisch Orkest, Les Violons du Roy, the Balearic Islands Symphony Orchestra), Andrea Marcon (La Cetra Barockorchester Basel), and Vincent Dumestre (Poème Harmonique). On the opera stage, in addition to numerous baroque “wand” roles such as Médée, Phèdre, or Armide, she plays the title role of L'Italiana in Algeri (Rossini) at the Atelier Lyrique de Tourcoing and at the Théâtre des Champs Elysées under the direction of Jean-Claude Malgoire, with whom she also performed Mélisande (Pelléas et Mélisande by Debussy). Ms. Reinhold has made numerous recordings, notably alongside Raphaël Pichon and the Pygmalion ensemble (Bach's Mass in B), lutenist Thomas Dunford (Labirinto d'Amore), Cappella Mediterranea directed by Leonardo García Alarcón (“Heroines of the Venetian Baroque”, Prometeo by Draghi), Les Arts Florissants conducted by William Christie (Do not hope, my eyes, Although Love, If you ever wanted), and the ensemble Il Caravaggio (Madonna della Grazia and Heroines). In the 2022/2023 season Anna Reinhold performed in the revival of Monteverdi's Orfeo on tour with Cappella Mediterranea, in concerts with Les Arts Florissants, Poème Harmonique, and Il Giardino Armonico, in recitals at the Opéra Comique in Paris, and in the recreation of the opera ballet Les Génies by the composer Mlle Duval (a contemporary of Rameau) at the Opéra de Versailles with the Il Caravaggio ensemble under the direction of Camille Delaforge.

In repertoire ranging from Bach and before to Poulenc and beyond, keyboard artist Jory Vinikour has performed as soloist with the Cleveland Orchestra, Rotterdam Philharmonic, Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, Lausanne Chamber Orchestra, Philharmonic of Radio France, among many others, under the direction of renowned conductors such as Stéphane Denève, Martin Haselböck, Armin Jordan, Marc Minkowski, et al, establishing himself as one of the prominent harpsichordists of his generation. Trained as a pianist with professors such as Ann Schein at the Peabody Institute of Music, and notably with Nina Svetlanova at the Mannes College of Music in New York, Jory Vinikour has appeared as vocal accompanist in recital with famed singers such as Rolando Villazon, Magdalena Kozena, Annick Massis, and Hélène Delavault. Mr. Vinikour’s debut recording for Sono Luminus, the complete harpsichord works of Jean-Philippe Rameau, was nominated for a Grammy® award, in the category of Best Classical Solo Instrumental Recording in 2013, an honor also accorded to his Toccatas (Contemporary American works for harpsichord) in 2015. Jory’s recording of J.S. Bach’s Partitas for harpsichord was released in late 2016. His recording of Bach’s Six Sonatas for violin and Obbligato Harpsichord with Rachel Barton Pine marks Jory’s debut on Cedille Records. Also for Cedille – 20th century concerti for Harpsichord and Orchestra (Leigh, Rorem, Kalabis, Nyman) with the Chicago Philharmonic, and harpsichord works of François Couperin. Jory made his recital debut at Chicago’s famed Ravinia Festival in August of 2019, as well as his conducting debut at the Aspen Festival.

In recent seasons, Mr. Vinikour has made appearances as conductor/soloist with the St. Louis Symphony, Bergen Philharmonic, Hong Kong Philharmonic, Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra, Musica Angelica, Korea Chamber Orchestra, musicAeterna, Juilliard415, Alabama Symphony, West Edge Opera, Chicago Opera Theater, Florentine (Milwaukee) Opera. Jory can be heard as fortepianist in the Deutsche Grammophon Mozart Opera series, under Yannick Nézét Séguin’s direction. He conducted the gala concert for the Handel Festival in Karlsruhe, and has conducted and played concerts for the Seattle Symphony, l’Orchestre de Bretagne, and the Hawaii Symphony.
